Conor McGregor Docuseries Coming to Netflix: What We Know So Far
“❗️Looks like we’re getting a Conor McGregor series on Netflix end of this year or early next year. 4 1Hour episodes already in the making. Hyped for this one! 🔥”
McGregor also took a break from cyber-bullying the UFC roster and punching rappers to share more information on Twitter: Twitter link: https://twitter.com/TheNotoriousMMA/status/1438072131334467590
McGregor wrote: “I’ll be executive producer on the project.
I’m contractually locked into 4, 1 hour episodes that I’ve to produce right now for Netflix. Which give or take I’ve it done already. 1st 1 hour episode up by January easy. Christmas presents, I’m Santy ho ho ho”
In response to a Tweet saying “The Netflix Documentary: “Rise And Fall of Conor McGregor” will be AWESOME in a couple of years”.
This isn’t the Irish star’s first foray into the world of television and film, however. An earlier documentary, entitled Conor McGregor: Notorious chronicled McGregor’s meteoric rise through the UFC. Notorious covered McGregor’s spectacular early UFC victories and the lead-up to his record-breaking title fight against Jose Aldo.
It also prominently featured his rivalry and two fights against Nate Diaz. It focused particularly on his initial loss to Nate Diaz and subsequent aggressive training regime in pursuit of a victory over the man who, at the time, had supplied his sole UFC defeat.
Since then, Conor McGregor’s fighting fortunes faded as his personal fortune increased. He lost a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, and a return to the Octagon in 2018 saw him submit to Khabib Nurmagomedov via rear naked choke.
Although he managed a forty-second knockout win over Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, consecutive losses to Dustin Poirier in 2021 have many wondering if Conor McGregor’s MMA career is over.
Supposedly, this new documentary will at least partially cover the lead-up to his trilogy fight against Dustin Poirier and the issues McGregor’s ankle was giving him ahead of the bout.
He infamously sustained a broken leg in the first round at UFC 264, and has been treating the injury ever since. Are you looking forward to a documentary about Conor McGregor? Let us know in the comments.
