They have revealed that AEW is working with Susan G Komen and have created a new pink t-shirt where the proceeds will go to the charity. However, this has ended up with fan backlash. This is due to the controversy surrounding the company AEW is partnering with.
This is because the company apparently has deceptive promotions and doesn’t do what it does. In the past, WWE worked with them in 2012. They also sold merchandise at that time.
CM Punk has since responded to this
A lot of the current fan backlash has been around CM Punk as a past tweet mentioning the company back in 2015 saying:
“If you’re going to give money to a company that claims to raise money for finding a cure for cancer, please do some research. Komen is a scam.”
Retweeted by fans and criticized by fans.
Since then, however, CM Punk has commented on a couple of these and tweeted a Gif about him, saying he is working on it. We will keep you up to date on how this story evolves as it is possible that this story may develop over time.
