When AJ Styles assigned Omos as his bodyguard and they became RAW Tag Team Champions, it seemed like that reign was unstoppable. RK-Bro missed that memo, and at Summerslam were able to capture the championships for themselves. The duo of Randy Orton & Riddle aren’t done with Styles and Omos however, and tonight will have to prove the last win was not a fluke.
Riddle Rode A Camel To The Ring, Does Anything Else Really Matter?
As far as grand entrances go with WWE, Riddle riding a camel to the ring is up there with the best of them. This match could end in a single knee strike, and it’d be worth it. Edge vs. Rollins was great, but seriously – Riddle on a camel. You can’t make this stuff up! Commentary discussed which was bigger, the camel or Omos. I wager Omos.
The match would start with Riddle & Styles, bringing a fast pace until Styles ran into a kick from Riddle. Orton got a tag in, and the methodical pace started up as he rammed Styles into the corner before some deliberate stomps. Riddle tagged and he’d throw Styles into the corner, allowing Omos to make the tag. With a single shoulder tackle, Omos would take Riddle down.
AJ Styles Takes An RKO Out Of Nowhere
Orton tagged in, and Omos would take him down with a shoulder tackle too. Omos would stand on Orton, before tagging in Styles. This was a mistake as Orton can hurt Styles, while Omos remains the most unstoppable force in WWE. Why Styles even does things in these matches we might never know, as he’d just tag in Omos to apply a shoulder claw. Styles tagged back in and Riddle would get in, and an exploder into the Broton would catch Styles, before a PK for a two count.
Riddle would block the Phenomenal Blitz with a knee strike, and tagged in Orton. Styles was thrown into Omos, and stumbled back into a powerslam. Riddle tried to pull Omos off the apron, and Orton had to help. Styles would look for Phenomenal Forearm and was caught with an RKO. Riddle would nail Floating Bro, and this one was over.
A solid enough tag team match, despite the logic of Styles being in a match when Omos is invincible – but overshadowed by Riddle’s best entrance ever. Match Rating: Riddle On A Camel or 3/5 (***)
