Io Shirai & Zoey Stark are finally starting to find their groove as NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Tonight, they have their biggest test yet as they defend against two hot new teams with Toxic Attraction and the Aussie duo of Indi Hartwell & Persia Pirotta. If that wasn’t enough, we have a stipulation on hand – as this is a Stairway To Hell match at Halloween Havoc. After a spirited intro from Chuckie The Doll, this one would kick this show off!
Chaos From The Opening Bell!
All six ladies would stare up at the titles hanging above, before a brawl broke out. Toxic Attraction were targeted to start, with Shirai & Stark then removing Hartwell & Pirotta out of the ring as well. They’d work to pull out a ladder. The only way you can get a win here. WWE decked out the CWC with some giant spiders and cobwebs among other decorations, really fitting the vibe of the show.
Dolin & Jayne fought back into the ring but Hartwell & Pirotta took them down with some heavy strikes before being run down with a ladder strike. They set the ladder up and took too long, before Stark & Shirai hit dropkicks and started their climbs, as Hartwell & Pirotta fell outside. Jayne would break the ladder and shove Stark & Shirai down, but Stark was back to her feet quickly.
Stark & Dolin hit dual headkicks, causing a double down. On the outside, Hartwell & Pirotta wanted to suplex Shirai through a ladder, but taking a double DDT instead. Back into the ring, Shirai would dropkick a ladder into Toxic Attraction before setting it up and starting her climb. The athletic Indi Hartwell would springboard onto the ladder and take Shirai down, but she was met by Starks. Pirotta started up another ladder, but Dolin would take her spot on it instead.
Toxic Attraction Picked Their Spot
Dolin was thrown off onto Jayne, and Shirai jumped onto the back of Hartwell to take her down. Zoey Stark just about had the belts, but Pirotta tipped the ladder. Stark saved this and hit a dive to the outside to take down Toxic Attraction and Indi Hartwell. Pirotta would try to control the ring while keeping it clear of anyone, really showing her powerhouse skills with a wicked powerbomb onto a ladder for Dolin.
She was fingertips away from the win, but Jacy Jayne would climb over her, before being pulled down into a powerbomb. Jayne countered into a hurricanrana, sending Pirotta face first off a ladder. Seeing her chance, she started to climb before being slammed onto the ladder and nailed with a moonsault by Shirai. Stark would hit a huge kick on Pirotta before going for a Phoenix Splash to take her out.
Hartwell nailed a huge spinebuster onto the ladder to take Starks out, and Shirai would meet her on the climb. It was down to them, and Hartwell would tip the ladder and send Shirai down hard onto it. Even Hartwell was concerned about this insane bump, but she had a match to win. Hartwell scaled the ladder and Jayne was there to stop her. Dolin was soon behind, and Hartwell was kicked down as Toxic Attraction claimed gold!
