Last week, Cameron Grimes shut down the poker room of Duke Hudson – showing that nothing can stop him from going upward & onward. Tonight, he will enter the ring once again, but will be wise to keep an eye on if Hudson comes to ringside for revenge at being outplayed.
Raquel Gonzalez Makes Sure Everyone Knows Dakota Kai Is Hers
First we would check in on the former NXT Women’s Champion – Raquel Gonzalez, who blasted to the ring on her motorcycle. Mad after being screwed out of her NXT Women’s Championship, Gonzalez would call out Dakota Kai. However, before she could address the former champion – Cora Jade would look for some revenge.
A brawl was broken up, and Gonzalez would stop Jade to remind her that whatever issues she has with Kai – get in line. The fist bump was denied, but an alliance could have been set up here. Jade is a bit like a younger Dakota Kai in her underdog nature and fan favorite status, which could make her someone Gonzalez seeks to protect.
Cameron Grimes Caves In Ru Feng,
Grimes hit the jackpot last week, and this week he’d meet Ru Feng one one one. Feng is aspiring to success in WWE, but has had a rough go thus far. Some big chops landed, before Feng nailed some fast kicks to the chest of Grimes. As expected, Hudson would come to the ringside area as Grimes was in a Cobra Twist.
Grimes broke free with a hip toss and some diving shoulder tackles. Feng was rocked with a big boot in the corner, before a high crossbody off the top rope. He’d nail the Cave In next, and this one was over. Feng looked fine, but Grimes is the big star here.
Hudson would meet him in the ring and ask for an explanation about last week. He walked into the poker room, just stayed steady and was able to win with dumb luck. Grimes again would have a clueless look on his face, and Hudson declared he’d never lose to a hick like this again.
It wouldn’t take more than that to get Grimes serious. He’s been called this before, but always holds it down. In the ring, at poker, or at Wall Street – Cameron Grimes holds it down. Grimes plays dumb sometimes, but last week played Hudson for a fool. Next week, Hudson wants Grimes one on one… in a poker showdown.
Solo Sikoa Takes Down LA Knight & Grayson Waller
At Halloween Havoc, Solo Sikoa made his debut at the expense of both LA Knight & Grayon Waller. Tonight, this issue ends with a triple threat match as Sikoa looks to stomp a veteran and rising star of the brand, to show himself as a true threat. One fall to a finish, no three way dance rules here.
Knight & Waller were bickering as this one started, before Sikoa nailed both with straight punches to the jaw. A heavy double lariat took both opponents, with Knight sent to the outside. Waller took some extra punches, before being sent out by Knight. Sikoa would take Knight hard into the ring for some knee strikes, and Waller pulled the rope down as Sikoa threw him away.
Back in the ring, Knight & Waller finally worked together to drop Sikoa. They would be meshing oddly well as a unit, until Waller set up a superplex as Knight tried to hit a running back elbow. Sikoa took advantage and nailed a double powerbomb as they tried for a double superplex. He’d hit some running hip attacks, before Knight dodged and hit a neckbreaker.
Waller was sent outside, but rolled back in for a Stunner. Sikoa broke up the pin, chucked Waller outside and nailed a splash for the win. No talk during matches gets results, and Sikoa proves this tonight.
