Hit Row is set to take over NXT, but right now they’re not happy. They might have the NXT North American Championship, but are currently in a heated feud with Legado Del Fantasma. Two weeks ago, Santos Escobar ripped the grill out of the mouth of Swerve, and things are getting nasty.
Hit Row & Legado Del Fantasma Get Into It In The Parking Lot
B-Fab would get things started, before Swerve got the microphone and declared this as on sight. The next time he sees Escobar, things aren’t going to go well. Escobar would show up on the big screen, and say that he’s in the parking lot. He is willing to give Swerve back his grill, but only if he comes alone. Escobar doesn’t trust Hit Row, and claims he was alone but Swerve was smart and ready for the three on one.
The numbers edge was too much, but Hit Row was quickly there to make the save. Top Dolla alone was enough to even the odds, being the size of both Wilde & Mendoza, and Escobar was beaten down. Swerve got his grill back, and Legado lost the battle tonight.
Cameron Grimes Caves In Josh Briggs
Everybody has a price, and that includes Josh Briggs. The imposing former EVOLVE Champion has been offered a crisp $10,000 to deal with Cameron Grimes. LA Knight wants Grimes to be weakened down for their match this Sunday at NXT Takeover 36, and someone like Briggs will be able to do just that.
Grimes was dressed in his butler outfit, and took a huge big boot to the face from Briggs. On commentary, Ted DiBiase made this a double or nothing bet on Cameron Grimes. Briggs hit a big slam and Grimes kicked out at two. He’d slip out of the next slam and pepper Briggs with blows, before dropping him with a running forearm.
A second had the same result before Briggs would be dropped with the Spanish Fly in the middle of the ring. The Cave-In landed, and Grimes got the win. Knight now owes DiBiase $20,000, but punched him out before dropping Grimes on the floor.
