Bachelorette star contestant, John Hersey took to Reddit to address the rumors about Katie Thurston cheating on him. It was just recently that a Rep for Thurston confirmed that she was romantically involved with the Bachelorette star.

“It’s known Katie and John became close friends post-season. John has been there for her through all the major changes in her life and they are excited to explore this newly found romantic connection” the Rep said.
Katie Thurston And Moynes Split
This is coming just about a month after the Bachelorette finalist, Thurston and her ex, Moynes announced their breakup jointly,
“it is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways” they said on Instagram. “we are so grateful for moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year but ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently”.
Fans have since gone wild to say that Thurston cheated on Blake Moynes, and to this Hersey responded, he said that he and Thurston did not pursue a relationship until after she had broken up with her ex fiancé, Moynes.
John Hersey Addresses Cheating Rumors
“I am absolutely in favor of everybody having their own opinion, voicing that opinion and hell, arguing and yelling about that opinion. What hurts me, however, is watching so many of you build assumptions and throw around accusations based on very limited knowledge of a situation.”
John further explained that he and Thurston just developed an incredible and deep friendship over the past year and a half but it was always platonic.
“To those of you that suggest we should have waited– I understand. I hear you. But try to understand what it’s like for me, a regular guy, falling helplessly for his best friend.”
John Hersey then went on to say that their decision to open up about their relationship was for them to pursue happiness in the way they wanted to, and disagreeing with someone on how they decide to pursue happiness is okay because “everybody is different.”
