Out of all the names that became free agents with the collapse of Ring of Honor, few are more exciting in terms of dream matches than The Briscoes. Mark & Jay Briscoe started on the first ever Ring of Honor show, and could be wrestling on the final show in the company’s history with Final Battle 2021. However, while re-introducing themselves to fans of the indies – they caught a bigger fish than expected in FTR.
Dax Harwood & Jay Briscoe Pushing This Feud To The Starting Line Over Twitter
FTR would fire the first blow, as Dax Harwood stating the following in a tweet. “I’m gonna start a Go Fund Me to get these guys some real wrestling gear. And by “Go Fund Me”, I mean I’ll just pay for it. Talk to my guy and I’ll take care of the bill. #PayItForward”
Jay Briscoe would take the catch, and after tweeting out “Fuck this clown!!! We turning the camera on at lunch time..Stay tuned!!!” And would follow through and state the following in a video which can be watched here.
“At this point, I’m done talking with y’all, man,” said Jay Briscoe. “No more playing this Twitter bullsh*t. F*ck that. Pull up, baby. Pull up. We’re gonna be in Dallas, Texas tomorrow night. We’re gonna be in Baltimore next week. Pull up. We are right here motherf*cker. F*ck this bullsh*t Twitter ass bullsh*t. Where y’all at?”
Dallas points to GCW: So Alive, while Baltimore is ROH: Final Battle.
The Wrld On GCW Might Have Their First Big Match With The Briscoes vs. FTR
There are a few possible places for this match to happen, beyond some potential confrontations at these two coming shows. Right now, GCW is building their biggest show ever, where they plan on taking over the Hammerstein Ballroom. The show is already sold out, so it just needs a strong card of matches.
Have The Briscoes put their GCW Tag Team Championships on the line against a team as decorated as FTR? That is as strong of a match as you can find. It’s also possible this comes in AEW, but their tag team division is already rock solid without The Briscoes right now.
