Slim 400 has become the latest rapper to have been killed, with the news that he was shot dead in Los Angeles.
Rapper Slim 400 Has Been Shot Dead-Authorities ‘Unclear What Led To The Shooting’
This incident once again has shown the problem with gun violence and rappers, following the recent death of Young Dolph, who had also died at the hands of a gun shot.
According to reports, the police arrived at the scene after receiving calls of multiple gunshots. As things transpired, they found Slim 400 in a driveway, after which he was taken to hospital.
Unfortunately, it was too late as a rapper was announced dead at the hospital. The authorities have reason to believe that this was not a targeted crime, nor part of a wider problem with gang violence.
It simply looks as though Slim 400 was caught at the wrong place. A source told TMZ the following: “Slim was gunned down Wednesday night in Inglewood.
“It’s currently unclear what led to the shooting and how many suspects were involved.” This news has naturally left his fanbase in a state of shock for the following reasons. First of all, Slim 400 was just 33 years old.
Therefore, he was entering the prime of his career with plenty of things to look forward to. Secondly, just the day prior to his death, Slim 400 had left an emotional tribute to pay homage to Young Dolph.
In hindsight, this would now go on to become one of the cruellest forms of irony as Slim 400 suffered the same fate. And the response on social media was one of deep sadness.
Large numbers of fans came out to express their sorrow that another person had to suffer because of gun violence. This is increasingly true given the lack of gun reform which would otherwise help to reduce such crimes.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Didn’t listen to his music that much. But damn, this shit got to stop. When mfer gone see this is what they want us to do kill each other. #RIPSlim400.”
With an investigation currently underway, the authorities must hold the people who were responsible to account. In this way, it will prevent things like this happening again.
