Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s projects as part of their $100 million deal with Netflix have not gone down well.

That is according to Royal expert Daniela Elser. The main reason why Daniela has claimed this is because it has been 14 months since the couple signed that deal.
However, during that period, they have failed to announce a single project. That is not to say that things are not in the pipeline, but given the huge amount of money on offer, it has not been received very well.
In an official statement, Daniela said: “In September 2020, when their money-making marriage with the streaming was first revealed, they loftily promised they would be making ‘content that informs but also gives hope’.
“Goodo then, but where is it?” In the couple’s defence, it is important to bear in mind the following factors. First of all, the deal came to light during the pandemic.
And given that the rise of new variants has led to more cases, it is understandable that schedules may have had to change in order to compensate for this. Secondly, the pair have also recently welcomed the arrival of their new daughter Lilibet.
Given that she is still very young, their focus is more likely to be on their family to make sure that they are in a good place. And yet, for Daniela, it was much more than that. She questioned whether the actual content would live up to the hype.
She added: “These might both prove to be touching and powerful shows but on paper they don’t exactly sound like they will be setting viewers or Hollywood on fire.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have yet to respond to this which is understandable as it would draw unnecessary attention. But 2022 is nonetheless a huge year for the duo.
Harry is set to release his tell-all memoir which promises to be a riveting read. And if he manages to deliver a book that discloses some intimate parts of his Royal life, then that will have the impact of boosting the publicity for his Netflix projects.
