AEW Dynamite airs live every Wednesday night, so it’s hard to find spoilers for their show. But tonight’s episode (January 22, 2020) was pre-taped so some slipped out for us.
Spoilers are a mixed thing for may of us. Some don’t mind knowing what’s going to happen, while others avoid them like the plague. For that reason, this is your last chance to turn back. Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT READ IF SPOILERS BOTHER YOU.
As reported in theringreport.com, this information comes from fans in attendance at Chirs Jericho’s Rock ‘N Rager yesterday (January 21, 2020).
- AEW Tag Team Championship
“Hangman” Adam page and Kenny Omega beat SCU (Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) (c) by pinfall to end SCU’s reign as inaugural champions at 83 days.
- Britt Baker beat Priscilla Kelly by submission.
- The Inner Circle (Chris Jericho, Ortiz, and Santana) defeated Jurassic Express by pinfall.
- MJF (Maxwell Jacob Friedman) beat Joey Janela by pinfall.
Promo Break
Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson), and MJF took part in a promo for Rhodes and MJF’s upcoming match. With the stipulation that Rhodes can’t touch MJF before their match at their next pay-per-view AEW Revolution in place, MJF taunted Rhodes mercilessly. The Young Bucks reportedly beat him down in response. Looks like Rhodes found a loophole.
I’m curious to see what MJF has up his sleeve for Rhodes going forward. This looks like a nice twist with the face striking first. This is going to be a fun one to watch unfold over the next few weeks.
Back to the action
- Jon Moxley beat PAC by pinfall, becoming the number one contender for the AEW World Championship and became Chris Jericho’s worst nightmare. Jericho then came out and a standoff ensued.
I have to admit, I’m surprised the rest of the Inner Circle didn’t come out to jump Moxley again, but then that would’ve shown Jericho is afraid of him.
Well, that’s AEW Dynamite Spoilers in a nutshell. It may be briefer than some of us hoped for, but that just gives us an excuse to watch AEW Dynamite for ourselves to fill in the blanks. I know I’m going to tune in. This looks too good to miss.
If you can’t watch it, stay tuned to theovertimer.com and Jordan Huie’s live updates for more information.
