Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap and results from tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite! Jon Moxley makes his way out to open the show! Into the ring to say that when he got his eye stabbed by Chris Jericho he realized that the fun and games with Le Champion are over. He knew this day was coming. Says Jericho is the kind of man that orchestrates gang beatdowns. He recounts the things Jericho has done. Breaking Dustin’s hand, mutilating Cody’s face, stealing Rey’s mask, punching a woman… he says he might not be a role model.
He doesn’t want to wear a white hat or a black hat but he knows that no matter what you achieve, it’s not worth it if you can’t look yourself in the eye and have your honor. Calls Jericho a bully and he damn sure hates bullies. Jon Moxley explains that it ain’t about the man you are, but the man you’re not. He calls Jericho out and asks him, for once in his life, to take his beating like a man.
Chris Jericho’s music hits! And as was started last week, people singing along to the lyrics! And once the music stops, they boo, heh. Jericho calls them typical Cleveland idiots. He says it makes him laugh when you talk about what you’ve done and what you’ve earned. What you’ve earned is a spike in the eye. All he had to do was say yes to his offer of joining the Inner Circle. Says he looks like a cracked up Jack Sparrow.

She says he saw his mother backstage before, she was looking especially fetching, maybe he’ll give her a call later. He had to tell her the reason why. Jericho told her that it’s Moxley’s fault, he offered him the keys to the kingdom and instead he smashed a bottle over his head. Jericho asks Moxley if he thinks he has what it takes to fight him… says he doesn’t even have what it takes to blink with both eyes. He tries to rile people up into thinking he’s about to take him on one-on-one, then just says go to hell.
Mentions that he never goes anywhere without his boys and brings out the Inner Circle, who seem to have a theme of their own now. Mox brings up that there’s five of them and they probably expect him to go rushing into there and get his ass kicked because he’s crazy and stupid. Pretty clear knock on the Ambrose days. Says it’s actually 5 vs. all the people in this arena. Gets a few Ohio cheap pops. Mox leaves the ring to walk up the ramp. Jericho says he knew he’d challenge them. So they brought in some South Bronx street thugs courtesy of Santana & Ortiz. Mox counts… it’s now ten of them against one of them.
Ortiz goes down the ramp to get into Mox’s face. Eats a Double Arm DDT! Moxley charges and a brawl ensues! Immediately refs are there to pull them apart! They separate Moxley from the Inner Circle… and he gets a DDT in on one of them as well! Leaves through the crowd as they chant his name!
