Main event time here on AEW Dark, and all that remains is this heavy mismatch of a tag team battle, pitting the Young Bucks against QT Marshall and Peter Avalon. Can’t all be battles of the goliaths, eh? Of course the Librarian is out first with the Librarian by his side. As always, Avalon is on the mic, shushing the crowd. QT Marshall is already in the ring waiting, interrupts to let everyone know that we’ve seen this too many times, you have to let him say his thing or the match will never start. Avalon thanks him and is gonna begin his cheap heat promo but the Young Bucks’ theme interrupts.
The Young Bucks vs. QT Marshall & Peter Avalon
“Elite” chant as the bell sounds. QT and Nick start out, QT with a wrist lock, Nick rolls out of it, leap frogs exchanges, they trade whips, Marshall with a springboard into an arm drag, they both trade handsprings and land on a single knee, Ospreay/Ricochet style! Marshall is stunned that this worked. Avalon takes up a mic and boos, says this is not wrestling! Berates the flippy-doos and says he’ll show them true wrestling, real punchy, real kicky, forces a tag and charges right into a Drop Toe Hold/Springing Elbow Drop double team!
Bucks take the mic away and ask the crowd if they wanna see a Double Hip Toss. They agree, so they hit it, stereo flip into a Stereo Basement Dropkick! QT then gets the Headscissor Dropkick, Bucks lead the crowd into Young Bucks and That Was Awesome chants! Peter gets the Rolling Neckbreaker/Backbreaker combo! Matt Jackson calls out for the Superkick party, Avalon crawls away and hugs QT at the waist to avoid this. Marshall somewhat begrudgingly tags in.
Marshall and Matt circle, Avalon rushes in for the cheap shot.
Marshall does not like this, goes over to confront him but Avalon tags himself in, drop toe hold and side headlock. “That’s not wrestling” chant! Standing dropkick, cover for 2. Leva Bates shows Matt her book as Avalon distracts the ref, Leva chokes him against the middle rope and hits him with the book. QT tags back in, Matt wants to fight up but Marshall gets him with a Ribbreaker. Takes him to his corner, Matt fighting back, hitting both men. Gets the boot up on a charge, Second Rope Dropkick! Avalon tags himself in, takes Nick Jackson off the apron, Matt gets him with a back body drop but has nobody to tag.
Avalon whips him to the corner and gets him with a charging forearm, but now he’s taken down with the series of Northern Lights Suplex! Gets him once, twice, three times, four times, five, six, seven times – QT charges in eventually to get the eighth! Nick back on the apron, gets the hot tag! Decimates Avalon with a combo, Spinning Roundhouse Kick! Takes Avalon to the corner, QT charges in but Nick slams them together, spinning back elbows, Double Bulldog! Crowd on their feet! Nick with his Springing X-Factor to Avalon into the Asai Moonsault to QT, sunset flip into the Sharpshooter on Avalon!
He crawls over, Leva pushes the bottom rope forward to help him grab it and break the hold. Nick with a floatover, baits him to come at him, Matt surprises Avalon with a wicked spear! Risky Business combo, QT rushes in to break it up, they avoid an elbow drop and he nails Avalon! Double Dropkick sends him outside, Nick with a running kick to the face on the apron! Matt hoists him up, Meltzer Driver attempted, Avalon escapes, pushes Matt into Nick – roll up for a waaaay too close nearfall! Avalon wants the book, QT blocking it though! Avalon with a haymaker lays him out on the apron! Avalon steals his apple and takes a bite of it, turns around to eat a Stereo Superkick! Meltzer Driver and that is the match!

I was kinda curious as to why this match was a thing but it was a lot of fun, cool to see the Bucks just kinda be a dominant force, it’s a fun thing to see.
