Like him or hate him, most wrestling fans likely have an opinion on good ol’ Jim Cornette. He is easily one of the most polarizing figures in all of wrestling, with his fanbase being one of the most loyal around. You never know what will come out of his mouth, but it has a 10% chance of being an insult thrown at The Young Bucks or Kenny Omega of All Elite Wrestling. Despite this, two guests who will be joining him later this week just made their debut for AEW. FTR (Formerly known as The Revival) members Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood will be appearing on The Jim Cornette Experience very soon. What could this lead to?
Jim Cornette Has Stated He Would Love To Manage FTR, If Things We’re Different
At this point in his career, Cornette has settled into his niche in wrestling. After trying one last time to be active in companies like NWA & MLW on commentary, he would leave these roles and focus on his podcasts. He is one of the more well known managers, and especially known for looking after the affairs of tag teams. The throwback style of FTR is one that matches up perfectly with Cornette, and they would truly be a match made in heaven. He has stated that he’d love to manage them, even for a one off.
They Could Use This Podcast To Build Their Feud With The Young Bucks
While in their debut for AEW this past Wednesday on Dynamite they seemed to side with The Young Bucks, we all know they will clash eventually. We will no longer have to just watch The Brainbusters vs. The Rockers and pretend it’s FTR vs. The Young Bucks soon. With Cornette being one of the most vocal haters of The Young Bucks, this would be a perfect chance for FTR to let them know that while they helped them as Butcher & Blade beat them down; they need to watch themselves.
It’s incredibly slim, but if this interview would somehow open the gate to having Jim Cornette show up for AEW, that would be huge. Their established fan base are not known for liking Cornette, making this easy heat for FTR, who will have to work to not be fan favorites after their misuse in WWE.
This interview will be one you don’t want to miss. Will you be listening this Friday? Could we ever see Jim Cornette work with AEW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
