There are few in AEW that can boast being undefeated, but MJF does. He’s never been pinned and has never submitted since joining the company, and that’s expected to continue tonight, as he enters the ring once again, facing someone well below his skill level. You can’t lose if you don’t face strong opponents. This would be Griff Garrison, making his Dynamite debut with an 0-3 record on AEW Dark.
MJF Has Something To Say
As per usual with MJF, he doesn’t know how to keep his mouth shut for very long and would request a microphone. Knowing his match won’t be long, he wants to maximize screen time. He’d verbally berate his opponent before they’d lock up.
“Look at you man, all jacked and tanned and ready to go, all fired up! I see you shaking at the knees, a little nervous as you should be, you’re in the ring with a prodigy. However, a prodigy with a heart of gold. I’m the salt of the earth, so I’m going to give you a chance to tell the folks at home all about Jungle Man.”
Griff would declare that’s not his name, only to be mocked by MJF more. He’d insult his nickname, and ask Griff how cool it is to share the ring with someone undefeated like himself. However, Griff would bring up the tag team match MJF recently lost, and get hit in the face with the microphone.
MJF Makes Easy Work Of Griff Garrison
Like predicted, this one won’t take long. MJF would stomp Griff out before whipping him across the ring. Choking him with his boot, he’d berate him more. A belly to belly suplex would send Griff across the ring, and could barely get back to his feet as he’d have the knee of MJF dropped across his neck.
MJF would toy with Griff, stomping on his foot, punching him down, all while stalking him around the ring. Griff would get up, only to be knocked down. For all the talk MJF has, he backs it up in the ring. MJF would apply a submission and bite Griff’s hand, almost getting disqualified. Griff would be thrown to the outside, and whipped into the barricade as MJF calls out members of the audience.
Throwing some punches, Griff would just piss off MJF and be thrown into the ring post. MJF would grab a microphone for a midmatch promo, and claim he lost his temper when Griff claimed MJF would lose. He’d remind everyone that he’s never been pinned or submitted, and all Griff could do is slap the microphone away. MJF would demand Griff says he’s undefeated, and then when Griff did, he’d almost beat MJF with a roll up! One big lariat and one Heat Seeker later, MJF wins.
