At AEW Revolution, we’d see Christian Cage make his AEW debut. He was the major ‘Hall of Fame’ level signing, and it’s hard to dispute his resume. This is a multiple time world champion, tag team champion and more. He just returned from a career ending injury at WWE’s Royal Rumble, but chose to settle down in uncharted territory for his career instead. Tonight, he gives us some insight on what he has planned for his time in AEW.
As the interview was about to start with Christian, Kenny Omega would seek to steal the spotlight. He was flanked by four dancers, Don Callis, and the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson. Callus took the microphone, and apologized that fans won’t get to hear from the exciting new signing, because the AEW World Champion deserves this time.
Kenny Omega Takes The Spotlight, Is Confronted By Eddie Kingston
He was already the god of professional wrestling, but now he’s also king of the deathmatch after Sunday! On Sunday at Revolution, essentially everything went according to plan… aside from the failed explosion. Callis & Omega took the heat for this failed explosion, but he was happy he was able to take joy away from the fans. They took the big moment away from Jon Moxley, they took it away from Eddie Kingston as well.
They never expected Eddie Kingston to make the save, but it just made them look foolish. But they need to account for Eddie Kingston now, as he gladly rushed the ring. Callis knows Kingston from their time together in Impact Wrestling, and knows he’s a star… but he still fired him.
Jon Moxley & Christian Cage Even The Odds
When Kingston was close to success, he screwed it up. Just like how Kingston screwed up at Revolution when he laid there and embarrassed himself. Callis gave him a chance to get out of the ring before he got his ass kicked. They’d give him 10 seconds, and flash the timer up before mocking him and Moxley once again. Omega would mock Kingston face to face, and take a punch for his troubles.
Moxley would even the odds, and Christian was close behind. Kingston took Gallows, Moxley took Anderson, and Christian got Omega in the ring alone. Christian claims he can outwork everyone, and that includes Kenny Omega. Omega offered a handshake, but Christian knows not to trust someone like Omega and dodged the punch and nearly flicked the Killswitch. He’d lift up that AEW World Championship,
