WWE Monday Night Raw is well underway now, and I’m still giving you the live recap and results! Asuka and Kairi Sane, the Kabuki Warriors make their way out! Looks like the former is in singles action against Natalya. My name is Jordan Huie, you are visiting the Overtimer where we will give you the live recap and results from the show as they come!
Asuka vs. Natalya
Nattie gets her into a sideheadlock, into the ropes, clean break. Asuka with a headscissor, Nattie kips out of this. Asuka with a hammerlock, Natalya escapes with an arm drag. Headscissors put a stop to that, into the Cross Armbreaker! Nattie escapes though. Roll-up for Natalya, quick kick out. Natalya shoots her off but a shoulder block takes her down! Natalya rolls her to the mat for a kneebar! But Asuka reverses, into a Single Leg Boston Crab! Nattie rolls right back. Fight to their feet. Hammerlock, Nattie to the ropes, ref has to pull Asuka off of her. Spinning backfist ducked, Natalya throwing forearms! Whip reversed, German Suplex attempted but Nattie stops it, hoists her up and spins into a Sit-Out Powerbomb for a nearfall!
Wants the Sharpshooter now, but she’s kicked away, Asuka bails as we go to commercial. We come back to see Natalya trapped in an arm wringer on the mat. During the break, she was caught with a brutal roundhouse kick. Nattie fights out but gets peppered with more roundhouse kicks to the chest! Throws her to the mat, another swinging kick but it’s ducked, roll-up, Asuka kicks out at 2, back kick catches her right in the face! Octopus Stretch locked in! Eventually Nattie is just shoved to the mat, Shining Wizard for a nearfall!
Armbar, trying to turn it into the Asukalock, Natalya trying to make it to her feet… she manages, deadlifting her into a Vertical Suplex to break the hold!
Natalya with a back elbow stopping a charge, kick to the leg, another charge but Nattie catches her, wants a German Suplex but it’s turned into a victory roll, sequence of cradles for 2 counts, Natalya ducks a shot and nails a Discus Clothesline! Wants the Sharpshooter, locked in now! After a mighty struggle, we see a ropebreak, Asuka falls to the floor. Natalya throws her back in, Kairi Sane comes in to distract her, and there’s the Asukalock.
Winner: Asuka
One of those matches where they just had time to fill so let ’em go, not bad at all. After the win she takes up the mic, yells Becky Lynch’s name and says she wants a rematch for the title. Becky comes out… with the Just Deal With It sunglasses. Can’t make that up. Big chant of Becky’s name from the crowd. Becky says after ducking her for a whole year, she wants to fight her again? Sounds interesting because beating her at the Rumble damn near gave her superpowers. Damn right she wants to drink from that fountain again.
But then she thinks, why? Why put her title on the line so close to WrestleMania? Because the only thing more fun than beating her ass once is to do it again. Kairi runs in but Becky catches her with a kick and deposits her. Flexes and says she’s got eyes in the back of her head.
