My younger brother and fellow The Overtimer writer, Tardell, has been taking in a lot of AEW Dark and following the promotion lately. He digs some of what he sees in Dark but shares the same concerns and thoughts towards the company’s overall creative and business direction. AEW Needs to Do Something with Its Roster Bloat One of the main issues is that All Elite Wrestling seems to have some mondo roster bloat. It had a great feed for the roster by pulling from the indies to fill out the trunk and torso while some notable names not in WWE…
With the Triple H Era of WWE creative getting off to a pretty optimistic start, I believe some booking and scheduling changes should be made as well. This has nothing to do with pushing this guy or turning that guy—it’s all scheduling, anticipating, and possibly branding of WWE matches and events. WWE Should Make Ultimate Matches “Random” Again We have several events centered around a dangerous or gimmick match. TLC, Elimination Chamber, Extreme Rules, and Hell in a Cell. Honestly, those three shows shouldn’t exist. The Elimination Chamber, Hell in a Cell, and TLC all should’ve remained as fail-safe solutions…
While thinking about doing away with the Elimination Chamber and Hell in a Cell events—but keeping the matches—Extreme Rules presented something of a problem. See, the Extreme Rules match is basically a street fight so the importance of that match is different from those two as we’ll see street fights throughout the year in WWE. What to Do with WWE Extreme Rules? Some main events might even degrade into an Extreme Rules match since there’s still that referee discretion element. A referee might be more lenient to ensure a definite fall ends the match. Others will be more by the…

On his 413th catch over the Labor Day weekend, Musa—the LC Predator Catcher—was in Binghamton, New York. The predator this time is 37-year-old Joshua whom he was involved in a discussion about this bust being a scam and the sincerity of Musa’s predator hunting. LC Predator Catcher: Catch #413 in Binghamton Musa came in under the premise of being a 16-year-old. As always, he has the conversation that took place before heading over, he has the address, and he knows how to access the house. Off that bat, this isn’t good for Joshua. Once Joshua opens the door, he is…

On this bonus “Moves of Doom Mondays,” we’re taking it easy breezy with a guy with three-and-a-half moves of doom. I guess he would be a guilty favorite of mine since I started watching in the early 90s. It’s Sid Vicious! Big Boot To be honest, the Big Boot is my favorite Sid Vicious move. The guy was billed as 6’9 and on seeing him on TV only—alright, believable. His Big Boot was kind of like Test’s where it was all leg. Like, this guy extended his leg into this thing. I’d say he probably needed to animate or sell…
The topic of this “Moves of Doom Mondays” is one-half of one of the greatest tag teams and brother duos: The Steiners. Oh yeah, he’s a former World Champion as well! Let’s get into Scott Steiner! Steiner-Line When it comes to moves that should be finishers, there are two things you can’t go wrong with: anything that damages the head and neck and strikes to the head or neck. All of Scott Steiner’s moves on this list inflict head and neck damage and some are even thrown in the back for good measure! The Steiner-Line is just a brick-wall lariat.…
