AEW Dynamite here from the Rock N Wrestling Rager At Sea Part Deux: Second Wave! All Elite Wrestling is here from the middle of the ocean! We continue on with this match seeing one of AEW’s mainstays in the women’s division Britt Baker take on a much less common competitor in Priscilla Kelly!
Dr. Britt Baker DMD vs. Priscilla Kelly
Exchange of cradles to start us off. Snapmares, chain wrestling, arm wringers. Kelly with an arm wringer takedown, stomp to the arm. Commercial, match continues in the inset. Cravate from Kelly. Britt fights out but gets taken down. Kicks to the back as she tries to get up. Kelly grinds Britt against the middle rope. Kelly stomping her in the corner as we come back. Continues working her over in the ropes, attacking the shoulder blades. Running flying karate kick to the back! Baker escapes a backslide attempt, hair pull takedown.
Baker with a running knee, many misdirections and ducked shots, Britt Baker eventually hits a Slingblade on Priscilla Kelly! Nearfall. Kelly fights back, hits a bulldog. But Baker nails a spinning heel kick, Russian Legsweep roll through to an attempt of the Lockjaw! Kelly fighting back, almost reaches the ropes. But Britt kicks the bottom rope to roll backwards, locks in Lockjaw and there is the submission!
Winner: Britt Baker
Basic stuff as is to be expected given the circumstances. And no surprise whatsoever that Britt got the win. Tony Schiavone in a Hawaiian shirt comes into the ring for an interview. Tony says the way she won was questionable but congratulates her nonetheless.
Britt says he knows better than to question her character. Notes how they’re all glad to have him here, big star and all. And she says AEW is his meal ticket ’cause he was just working at Starbucks. People boo this potshot. She leans in, calling him a shitty barista. Crowd seems to be chanting very rude at her which is getting censored, unlike her saying ‘shitty’! She argues with the crowd, calls herself the hottest woman on the boat, and continues laying into Tony for the sheer hell of it until Jim Ross interrupts on commentary, saying we’ve heard enough. On cue, we fade to commercial break.
So yeah, Britt Baker further establishing herself as a heel. I’m guessing that segment went longer than it was supposed to, which is much less of an issue on a taped show.
