Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to give you the live recap and results from the show as they come. AEW Dynamite rages on! We get a recap of the segment last week where Britt Baker gave Tony Schiavone the business after defeating Priscilla Kelly. Britt comes out for another interview with him. Crowd is going to town on her as she says she wasn’t offended last week, in fact she thinks the two of them are a dream team! Last week they were trending worldwide, or rather, she was.
Britt says who did offend her was Jim Ross! She tells him to never interrupt her again. She berates JR for judging her division, failing to get the roster’s names straight, and calling him out for only ever talking about her being a dentist on commentary. Says it is indeed her division, she’s the poster child and the one who sells tickets and merchandise, more than she can say for their champion, Riho.
Britt Baker goes on to tell Tony since she cares about him, just judging from the look and the smell, he’s got generalized gingivitis. Finishes by telling Cleveland they finally have a Baker they can rely on. Honestly, kind of incredible.
Backstage, we get an interview with the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega.
The Bucks talk about how they can’t stop thinking about the spooky perverts, the Dark Order and how they attacked them all those weeks ago. Haven’t forgotten about Santana and Ortiz either. Then, up comes Hangman Page to talk about how they just got their nameplates for their titles put in today. And… he also got nameplates made for the Young Bucks. He hands them to them, one for Matt Jackson and one for Nick Jackson. They uncomfortably say that they didn’t have to do that, Hangman’s acting like he’s doing something nice. “You might need it one day.”
Kenny tries to smooth things over as Page leaves. Omega then announces how an eight man tag match has been signed for next week. It’s gonna be the Young Bucks, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs. The Butcher, The Blade and a team of their choosing. That’s a pretty big time bout there.
Honestly, found myself cracking up at both of those segments. I’m really into Hangman’s character right now, and Britt’s also a lot more entertaining as a heel, this is already working a lot better I think.
