One of the most underused people in all of NXT was the Portugal born Killer Kelly. One of the more exciting and intense women they had on their roster, I wouldn’t be shocked if most viewers didn’t even know who she is. She never really got a chance to shine, when she had the skills to be placed alongside people Toni Storm & Rhea Ripley. It seems like she is out of the company however, as all signs seem to point in this direction.
Killer Kelly Leaves NXT UK
The first sign that she has left is simply that she removed “WWE NXTUK Superstar from Portugal” from her social media bios. She is also no longer listed on the roster page for NXT UK. That would be evidence enough, but there are other signs. She has been announced the GCW Bloodsport III, and while NXT UK superstars are usually able to appear elsewhere, they can’t show up on live PPV which that event will be. Kelly also recently named Big Swole as someone who she wants to face, and Swole is a superstar of AEW. All this evidence shows that she got sick of being not used in NXT UK, and has moved on.
NXT UK Has Too Many Wrestlers Signed
NXT UK has overall been a bad thing for the UK Wrestling scene. They have hoarded talent, and while people like Tyler Bate, Jordan Devlin, James Drake, Zack Gibson, and others have gotten great spotlight from this, many haven’t. People like Joesph Connors, A-Kid, Kenny Williams, Isla Dawn, and more would be better off being able to make their name across other promotions, as they might be lucky to pop up in NXT UK once or twice in a few months.
This is a problem NXT in general has had, but since they moved to a 2 hour live show, it hasn’t been as bad. There are still people who are relegated to showing up in live events around Florida or training at the performance center, but there is much more opportunity to be found.
