WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2019 is coming up this Sunday and the card has been rounded out a fair bit over this past week. We know that the New Day will be defending the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships against the Revival. Bray Wyatt will be squaring off with the Miz. King Corbin shall be facing Roman Reigns in a Tables, Ladders & Chairs match. And in the night’s second TLC match, we know that Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch will be going after the Kabuki Warrior’s WWE Women’s Tag Team titles.
Earlier tonight on Raw, another match was announced, pitting Buddy Murphy against Aleister Black.
This bout has been building for some time, with Buddy Murphy finally becoming the man to knock on the door of Aleister Black and pick a fight with him. The two are in similar boats, being relatively fresh names on the Monday Night Raw brand, and having proven themselves extraordinary talents in other WWE brands – NXT and 205 Live respectively. Similarly, neither have lost a match since coming to Raw, each of them winning a series of quick, but impressive bouts designed to showcase their strengths as much as possible.
Both agile and hard hitting strikers, there is a ton of potential in this match to say the very least. And honestly it’s quite nice to see a match like this, a PPV bout between two guys who haven’t been overexposed, and have quite a bit of momentum between them. Neither have been pinned in the lead-up to this through some silly distraction means, nor have they faced each other in tons of throwaway matches singles or otherwise.
As a big fan of both, I’m expecting really good things from this match. Hopefully it makes the main card though, it’d be easy to see a bout like this being relegated to the pre-show which would really minimize the opportunity being given.
