As said previously, it’s Tuesday, which means we’re getting our wrestling from YouTube tonight! But with NWA Powerrr having closed out it’s ‘season finale’ last week, AEW Dark is now all by it’s lonesome. Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here giving you the full-scale preview of tonight’s action, as the shadowy, underground side of All Elite Wrestling shows itself yet again… eh, that probably makes it sound too edgy. It’s a B-Show with a cool name. But it’s my favorite B-Show if that means anything!
Up next, we’re looking at tag team action…
Jurassic Express (Marko Stunt & Luchasaurus) vs. John Silver & Alex Reynolds
Look at that, Silver and Reynolds getting to have a graphic! They legitimately have to be proud of that. The two of them have appeared for AEW a handful of times in the past, but don’t feel bad if you don’t recognize them. They’ve appeared purely as jobbers, having first been seen being destroyed by Proud-N-Powerful way back on Week 2 of AEW Dynamite. Since then, they’ve seemed to be AEW’s go-tos for when they want someone easy to beat and don’t feel like going to the well of one of their regulars. Can’t beat a Cutler, a Nakazawa or a Librarian all the time after all. Whether they’re actually signed or just on a lengthy trial run is anyone’s guess, but they keep being asked back so they must be happy with them.
So on paper this is an obvious victory for the Jurassic Express. After all, you wouldn’t want to have one of your most popular acts get beat by ACTUAL enhancement talents, right? But then, they are winless as a team. Marko, like his buddy Jungleboy, has yet to score a victory in AEW. Of course, that was when his big dino friend Luchasaurus was on the shelf. In a way you’d like for the first win this group actually gets as a team to be a little more substantial… but I think it’s fine. Once Marko gets his, the pressure will really be on Jungleboy to notch that first victory as well, with him being the only one on the team to have not done it yet. So if anything it just adds an extra element to that match with Jericho next week. Not bad for a throwaway squash! Jurassic Express win.
