Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here continuing the coverage for WWE Monday Night Raw! Second straight title match here as Andrade puts his WWE United States title on the line against Humberto Carrillo, rematch from last night’s pre-show! But first, we have an interview with Becky Lynch, coming off her strong win against Asuka at the Rumble.
Becky notes that she’s been walking around for the last few months with some doubts, wondering what kind of champion she was. After repaying her debt against Asuka, something profound happened. She went back and looked at her title and realized she really was in a league of her own! Now she says the next arse she beats is because she wants to, not because she feels like she needs to. She’s asked about Charlotte’s Rumble win. Becky says if she challenges her it won’t be the first time but it’ll damn sure be the last.
WWE United States Championship: Andrade (c) vs. Humberto Carrillo
Humberto with a charging dropkick, stomps. Andrade bails. Humberto pursues, thrust kick. Slams him into the barricade. Andrade reverses by posting him, mean chop. Rolls him into the ring and pursues. Running high knee in the corner, snapmare, cover for 1. Chops him in the corner, chokes against the ropes. Charges, Humberto evades him in the corner and he crashes and burns, falling all the way to the floor! Humberto with a baseball slide, hits the ropes, Corkscrew Tope and he lands on his feet after nailing it! Commercial break.
Humberto wants the Lucha Arm Drag, but Andrade trips him and slams him against the canvas. Wants the Inverted Surfboard he was using last night, almost pins him off it. Humberto tries to power out but Andrade turns this into a deadlift powerbomb! Dash to the corner, charges for the Meteora but Carrillo evades. Back Suplex but Carrillo lands on his feet, wants a Monkey Flip but gets slammed to his back, from the mat he hits a headscissors! Springboard Crossbody, enziguri! Backflip into a Standing Moonsault! Nearfall.
Mean back elbow from Andrade. Humberto ducks a shot, tries a springboard but the champ clips his leg and he lands hard, cover for 2! Wants the Hammerlock DDT, Carrilo escapes for a rolling enziguri, Springboard Roundhouse kick! Top Rope Moonsault, Zelina rushes into the ring to break it up and there’s the DQ!
Winner: Humberto Carrillo (by DQ)
Carrillo is pissed off. He drags Andrade out of the ring, exposes the concrete! Zelina can only scream! Humberto with a Hammerlock DDT onto the concrete, exactly what happened to him months ago and the crowd loves it!
