A truly unique show is about to take place folks. And the likely main event pits Jon Moxley against PAC in an AEW World Championship No. 1 Contender’s match! All Elite Wrestling brings us a very special edition of AEW Dynamite, emanating from the middle of the damn ocean! Chris Jericho’s own personal cruise ship is the venue for this event right here! The Rock ‘N Wrestling Rager Part Deux: Second Wave is a mix of music and pro wrestling, all taking place in the midst of a trip from Miami to the Bahamas! It’s absolute madness everybody and it’s gonna be airing very, very soon! So let’s get into this last preview already!
PAC vs. Jon Moxley (Winner gets a shot at the AEW World Championship)
There’s plenty to talk about here. Both of these men have been itching for a title match for quite some time. They’re here as the result of winning out a sort of pseudo-semi final last week. Mox beat Sammy Guevara to advance, whereas PAC defeated Darby Allin. That brings us here, where the two of them face off in a No. 1 Contender’s bout, with the winner earning a title bout with Le Champion Chris Jericho!
Moxley has of course been feuding with Jericho for a while already. After much courting, he refused to join the Inner Circle two weeks ago, taking the Ford GT and running! Their retaliation for this humiliation was a brutal one. They jumped Moxley after his match with Guevara last week. As his henchmen held Mox down, Jericho pulled a spike from his jacket and jammed it right in Moxley’s eye! Later that night he appeared in an eyepatch to let us know that nothing would keep him from showing up to this match.
PAC has been furious about being denied title matches in the past so tonight is his chance to set that right. He’s also been pretty focused on getting a rubber match with Kenny Omega, but of course a shot at the top prize in All Elite Wrestling took precedent over that one! And there’s some history between the two of these men. They had a war of words in Dynamite’s early days centering around PAC “covering Moxley’s arse” by taking his place at the last minute at AEW All Out against Omega! They squared off in the main event of an episode only to come to a time limit draw, which neither man was pleased with! Now, they get to settle that score on a big stage with high stakes!
It’s clear enough who the logical winner here is, no need to overthink things. Jon Moxley wins, and likely goes on to face Jericho at AEW Revolution next month!
