Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Jordan Huie and we are here at the Overtimer for another episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown! Here, you’ll see the quick results for tonight’s show as they come! Watch this space!
Segment 1: Surprisingly, the six man tag team match opens the show, Roman Reigns & The Usos face off with King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Early on in the match, Jimmy Uso finds himself injured after being Zig Zagged into the steps. He’s escorted from the match, turning it into a 3-on-2. In the end, Jimmy returned to the match in time to help secure the win for his team.
Segment 2: Lacey Evans cuts an emotional promo about the hardships of her upbringing and how she hopes to inspire people. Bayley attacks her from behind and they get involved in a lengthy brawl that crosses the path of several other women.
Segment 3: Braun Strowman & Elias team up to face off with WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro. Before the match, Elias wanted to let Braun sing with him but the heels interrupted them. Strowman & Elias ended up getting the win.
Segment 4: This year’s Royal Rumble BY THE NUMBERS segment finally aired! King Corbin promised victory over both Roman Reigns and in the Rumble match. Miz and Morrison cut a pre-match promo and they also declared for the Rumble. Kofi Kingston went one-on-one with John Morrison. It was a pretty strong match, ultimately Morrison defeated Kofi. He’s now beaten both Kofi and Big E in his first two matches back.
Segment 5: Time for the last segment, Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt meeting in a contract signing ahead of their WWE Universal Championship match this Sunday at the 2020 WWE Royal Rumble event. Bray Wyatt answered the call but said that since the Fiend is the one defending the Universal title against Bryan, it’s only fair he be the one to sign. So the Fiend appeared, ripped off Daniel Bryan’s shirt and whipped his back with a leather strap. He then slashed into his own hand to sign the contract in blood.
