CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers here with some fun spoilery news.
We’ve been patiently waiting for something to go wrong with the Newman Gala, and they finally delivered. While it was an awesome tribute to actor Eric Braeden, it was getting a little boring as we knew something was coming up. The anticipation was killing us like being stabbed in the side.
Oh, too soon?
Okay, okay, we’ll get on with it. While celebrating fifty years of Victor Newman (Eric Braenen)’s accomplishments with Newman Enterprises, it makes sense to put the company’s future in danger.
So, we’ll take a stab in the dark here (yeah, we did it again) and say things around going to get interesting starting tomorrow. And it’s all thanks to Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes). Way for the new guy to make a memorable splash.

Victor in command
Victor taking over following Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)’s injury is only natural while the police look on. We’ll get to see several facets of Victor come out. He’ll be heartbroken that his daughter was hurt, he’ll promise she’ll be okay and whoever did it will be punished for their crime.
But more than anything, he’s going to happily point the finger at Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) at the earliest opportunity. His lack of security will only get a passing mention, ‘cause there’s no reason for them not to let anyone and their brother walk in without question.
Or maybe it’ll still be because of him going to an orphanage? Yeah, that’s unfair.
So, once he’s done beating on his favorite whipping boy and has him dragged out and beaten up because why not, where’s he going to turn his attention to next?
Well, he’ll probably let the police do their jobs while giving them an earful for his lack of security, then figure out what to do with Newman Enterprises while plotting vengeance for Victoria.
This will probably kickstart a storyline with Billy taking a larger role and possibly filling in for Victoria at Newman Enterprises.
Wait, there’s a method to this madness.
Billy’s forced compliance
CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers have watched as Billy tried to become his own man (just like Victor. Ironic, don’t you think?), and his mother, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) is expected to step in and force him into behaving himself. She mentioned she thought Billy needs a purpose, so she may use Victoria’s injury as just that.
She’ll browbeat him at first about his role in Victoria’s injury, but gentler yet harsher (like only a mother can do) than Victor. Once Billy’s fully broken down to whee everyone’s always wanted him, she’ll go in for the reprogramming and bring up him filling in for Victoria at Newman Enterprises.
This won’t go over well with Victor, but she’ll find a way to get him to see reason. Victor will have two choices: either come out of retirement, or accept the fact the real reason he hates Billy is because Billy reminds him of himself (every father’s nightmare) and allow him this opportunity. If Billy fails, he’ll take down the company. After saying Billy should be allowed to fail, this may be a bit much, but the pressure would give Billy something to focus on and he may even like it.
Of course, this is unlikely as it’d mean Victor would eventually give Billy grudging respect and that’s against his nature. But it could also be part of his legacy to show everyone he can redeem anyone if they’re willing.
But where does this leave Amanda? Ripley will eventually find her, and probably be even more dangerous than he currently is.
Looks like plenty of fun and action coming in the next few days, so check in with CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers for all the speculation, spoilers, and updates as they come.
