It’s Tuesday! And for all you YouTubing wrestling fans, that means another episode of AEW Dark goes up today! Tonight, Marko Stunt has his first singles match in AEW, and well, he’s a bit unfortunate as it turns out to be against Jimmy Havoc! My name is Jordan Huie, you are visiting us here at the Overtimer where as always you can expect the full coverage of tonight’s show! That means recaps and results from every match as they come, plus in-depth previews for each bout on the card as well! So let’s not waste any time getting to it!
Jimmy Havoc vs. Marko Stunt
Marko Stunt has had plenty of fun in tag and trios action, usually being used as a weapon by his partners Luchasaurus and Jungleboy. But it’s gonna be a lot harder to do any of that when it’s mano-e-mano and that’s the situation here as Marko finds himself in his first-ever singles match in AEW. And as it turns out, the weight challenged Marko finds himself against one of the most vicious and sadistic members of the roster in Jimmy Havoc. That’s a situation that could quite easily turn ugly in a hurry.
Now of course odds are good that this whole thing isn’t gonna be a lengthy torture session. What exactly Marko does on his own, I haven’t necessarily seen yet. But I’m sure it’ll be plenty of fun, until the heat segments kick up again. And make no mistake, Havoc should have very little trouble getting heat here. It’s super easy for me to imagine the hatred that could get thrown at him for ripping at his boyish face and torturing his fragile looking body. I mean Marko never struggles to get sympathy in there with any kind of heel, so one can only imagine.
I will always say that Stunt has plenty of value to AEW regardless of what naysayers might believe, but that value is as an underdog, so he doesn’t have to be winning singles matches very often. Plus, unlike Marko, Havoc has himself an angle brewing as he’s seemingly on a hardcore collision course with fellow Deathmatch veteran Dr. Luther. At some point, the two of them will likely have an Unsanctioned match right here on Dark. So I think Havoc will be building some momentum for that. Jimmy Havoc over.
