WWE News: Sami Zayn Not Injured, Creative Just Has No Ideas For Him
One of the best wrestlers in WWE from an in ring perspective is Sami Zayn. Despite this fact being abundantly clear from his matches with Shinsuke Nakamura, John Cena, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles, he has barely wrestled since the King Of The Ring tournament. With Sami being in the prime years of his career, it is a shame to see. While many believed that he was injured, but it turns out WWE simply has no ideas for him in the ring.

The Great Liberator

While he isn’t competing on a regular basis, he has been serving as the mouthpiece of two top performers on Smackdown Live, those being Cesaro & Shinsuke Nakamura. These are two men he had instant classics with while part of the NXT brand. Both men are only lacking in promo ability, so pairing them with Sami was a smart idea. He pitches in occasionally with multiman tag team matches with them on live events, but his in ring time is at an all time low.
The partnership has been a fun angle thus far, and more managers are always appreciated. It is a role which will give Sami a lot of longevity as well, which would keep him on our screens for a long time. It also shows management he is flexible and can make the best of out a less than ideal situation.

Should Sami Zayn Go Back To NXT?

As NXT struggles to bring in high ratings, bringing stars back to the brand would be an easy way to help draw some viewers in. Sami Zayn was one of biggest faces in his time of NXT, being know as the heart of the brand. His matches with Cesaro & Neville put the brand on the map, and set it as the place to see the best wrestling around.
Sami can still compete at the same high level, and if he went back he would have classics with the likes of Keith Lee, Adam Cole, Finn Balor and Tomasso Ciampa. He could even bring Nakamura and Cesaro down with him, and they could show their prowess as a tag team and help boost a sparse division in the process. Once the act runs out of steam on Smackdown, NXT would be a quick way to bring life back into it.
