Nothing like closing the week out in grand style, and CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers are here with some spoilery speculation to keep things interesting.
While we’ve been waiting to find out what exactly happened on Hope Wilson (Signy Coleman)’s farm in Kansas. It’s been nothing short of awesomeness as it’s been exposed layer by layer, and we’re at the point where CBS The Young and the Restless expect Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to make a huge admission to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), and we expect it to be something big.

Victor didn’t do it
Okay, so this is what Victor claims, but is it true?
We think so, and for the simple fact Hope killed AJ Montalvo.
This is purely speculation on our part, but we believe that Hope and AJ had a confrontation and things took a strange turn when he either tripped and hit his head, or Hope clocked him with something. There’s also the chance that this wasn’t an accident or in self defense on her part, but that’s another story.
If AJ had been giving her trouble, then she may have called Victor to come and help her with her problem. Victor may have just shown up and gave Hope the perfect out after the killing.
This actually stands up better than the theory that Victor killed AJ. Given the flashbacks we’ve seen and Victor’s denial to Nikki, it points to him either killing AJ by accident in Hope’s place, or he arrived and took it upon himself to clean up the mess to protect Hope. Remember, he told Adam he loved her dearly when he brought up what she’d think of Adam taking over Newman Enterprises like he did.
It also explains why Victor’s fighting back seems to be more along the lines of reaching the compassionate and helpful Adam he had entrusted the company to before Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) decided he needed to lick Victor’s shoes to protect the family.
It also fit Victor killing AJ
There’s no denying the evidence does implicate Victor, but since he cleaned it up, is that any surprise? In fact, he would’ve gone out of his way to make sure all evidence points straight to him in the event someone got it into their heads to do some digging.
In this case, he now has to figure out what’s more important: Hope’s memory or his legacy.
Nikki won’t have the same problem as she’ll understand why he did what he did and that’ll be part of why she loves him so much. But then she’ll want to race to Newman Enterprises and confront Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), and probably shame him in front of everyone because he’s the vile, evil cancer and the rest of the Newmans are noble and trustworthy.
While this is purely speculation on our part, what are your thoughts? We’d love to hear from you, so let us know in the comment below.
