At Wrestlemania 36, fans got one of the most unique main events in WWE history. This was the cinematic classic between AJ Styles & The Undertaker in the first ever Boneyard Match. It had Undertaker looking better than ever, and without the need of any massive bumps or risks, mainly relying on his presence and ability to tell a strong story. There is one man who would also fit this type of match, and despite having retired from wrestling, he remains a legend. Is The Boneyard Match the perfect way to bring Sting back for one last match?
Sting vs. Undertaker Is One Of The Biggest Dream Matches In Wrestling
Because of this, people still want to see them clash. A normal match between them would be dreadful, as many felt that Undertaker vs. Goldberg would work based on their larger than life personalities, but it was one of the worst matches in recent memory. Considering Sting is retired, it would likely be an even worse match.
A Boneyard Style Match Would Hide Their Flaws
During The Boneyard Match, The Undertaker looked better than he has in years. This was due to the cinematic nature ensuring that his flaws were hidden. Neither him or AJ Styles had to work as hard as they would in a normal match, and fans reacted very strongly to it all the same. Adding in another huge character in Sting, and they would have an unforgettable contest, the best that would be possible now that both can’t even see their prime in the rear view mirror.
