The marquee match of Pro Wrestling Revolution‘s (PWR) February 22nd event saw the Lucha Horsemen (El Dinamita/Papo Esco) face former 2x Lucha Libre AAA (AAA) Mega Champion Texano Jr and 2x AAA World Trios Champion Psycho Clown. During Triplemanía XXV Psycho Clown took the legendary mask of Dr. Wagner Jr. Papo Esco riled the crowd up for this match at the beginning of the event.
Border Patrol member Sparky Ballard was the referee. Texano Jr and Psycho Clown cut a promo before the match and referenced Ballard along with their official opponents. Throughout the contest, Ballard helped the overmatched Lucha Horsemen who could never find an answer for their AAA foes that the live audience fawned over throughout the match.
The contest itself was a chaotic brawl that Texano Jr and Psycho Clown controlled. Ballard’s meddling allowed for the Lucha Horsemen to mount some offense, but it wasn’t enough to trouble them for long stretches.
Psycho Clown and Texano Jr would roll up the Lucha Horsemen with vertical cradles after Ballard was accidentally hit by Esco, temporarily blinded Sparky quickly counted to three — unaware Clown and Texano were making covers.
They celebrated in the ring after the match with Cain Velasquez who has made regular appearances in the crowd at Pro Wrestling Revolution events.
Overall, Pro Wrestling Revolution’s February 22nd event was good from the opener to the marquee, with nearly something for every type of wrestling fan.
The entire event can be seen on FITE.
