AEW Dark is now down to it’s last match and of course the main event goes to the AEW World Champion Jon Moxley making his debut on AEW Dark. He faces off with the whimsically named Faboo Andre. He is quite a sight, a colorful attire with a glittery bright blue jacket, gap in his front teeth, a lengthy pontyail and a big smile on his face. He also has some pretty cool music as the commentators address, I think I’ve heard it used on these shows before… meanwhile, Jon Moxley is in the crowd area behind a camera as his music hits. He has to leave the post and take up his title as he marches to the ring.
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley vs. Faboo Andre (Non-title)
Mox with a lock-up, into the corner, driving forearms, stomp to the chin and grinds the boot into his face. Wants a Vertical Suplex but Faboo reverses the suplex! Kick to the gut, Mox with a whip, Faboo with the kick on a back body drop attempt, spins around and poses, Moxley nails him with a Discus Lariat! Gotch Piledriver out of nowhere, that looked painful as hell. Locks in an STF and gets the submission just ’cause he can.
Winner: Jon Moxley
Mox starts yelling into the camera when Jake Hager attacks him from behind! Plants him with a hard Uranage Suplex, Arm Triangle cinched in! Choking him out now! Hager is howling with intensity as the referee is afraid to try and break it up. Hager yells at the champ to keep fighting but Mox fades. Hager lets him go as it seems Mox as passed out. Jake slaps him across the face to wake him up. Hager makes his leave, turning on the ramp for a moment just to admire his work. Moxley is twitching, very slow to rise, needs a little help from the ref but he doesn’t know where he is, double legs Paul Turner by mistake.
We cut back to Tony Schiavone and Cody to sign off, as they remark on how dangerous Hager is, coming out just to show Moxley he can choke him out at any point. They continue plugging the upcoming TNT Championship Tournament, the two halves of the bracket will be meeting tomorrow in a special tag match pitting Cody & Darby Allin against Shawn Spears & Sammy Guevara.
