Somehow Flamita and Puma King managed to out due the Bestia 666 and Colt Stevens match that just before their match on Pro Wrestling Revolution’s (PWR) November 16, 2019 event. With the format of Pro Wrestling Revolution, that was likely the plan from the beginning.
Flamita and Puma King are well-traveled, have great reputations for their in-ring work, and are rising draws in the international professional wrestling scene. They brought everything to the table that you would expect in a match between the two.
The match had an extremely fast start, a familiar scene for those who watch the New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) Junior Heavyweight division, Dragon Gate, and the United States independent scene. It was immediately clear that Flamita and Puma King are both top-shelf junior heavyweights and can compete at a high level.
Pro Wrestling Revolution’s live audience was into both performers and were loud throughout — defeating the notion that crowds in the United States don’t react without a proper feud behind a match. The only complaints that could be levied towards the match are those from individuals who detest dives of any sort.
Flamita would win with a 450 splash putting a wrap on the best match of the evening. COVID-19 is tragic for a slew of heartbreak reasons, but Puma King was well on his way to having a breakout year on the United States independent scene in conjunction with his Lucha Libre AAA (AAA) bookings and other dates throughout Mexico.
Flamita recently signed a deal with Ring Of Honor (ROH) and is likely to only keep raising his drawing power within the United States over the next several years. Much like the Bestia 666 and Colt Stevens match, this is a contest well worth seeing.
The entire event can be seen on FITE.
