The third match of the October 5, 2019, Pro Wrestling Revolution (also known as Revolucion de la Lucha Libre) saw the Pro Wrestling Revolution Openweight Championship take center stage as champion Ultimo Panda defended against El Cucuy, Xavion, and Viento.
This match had a little bit of everything, while not everything had the best of timing, the crowd was vocal. Ultimo Pando was able to generate a good reaction throughout the night, despite some of the hiccups in the match itself. Fans of light-hearted comedy gimmicks will likely gravitate to Ultimo Panda, as the character delivers in that area well.
Xavion and Viento both have interesting looks, athleticism, and the potential to grow. El Cucuy played the Rudo role well throughout the match, adding a different element.
It will be interesting to see if Xavion and Viento will be able to break out in the future as their potential did shine through at various points. Viento is a regular on the Lucha Libre independent scene in Mexico and could use that avenue to acquire higher profile bookings in Mexico, Japan, and the United States.
Xavion may have the biggest ceiling of anyone in the match. There were moments where it looked that he could break out and make a name for himself in the future. In the end, Ultimo Panda was able to retain the Pro Wrestling Revolution Openweight Championship to the delight of the crowd.
