WWE Monday Night Raw Results (4/27/2020)

WWE Monday Night Raw is on tonight. Below you’ll be able to see the live recap and results from the show as they come.

Segment 1: To open the show, MVP was hosting the VIP Lounge and he invited the Raw side of the Men’s Money In The Bank match, Apollo Crews, Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio to the ring. He was interviewing them on what the match meant to them when Zelina Vega interrupted, with Andrade, Angel Garza and Austin Theory in tow. She demanded the three of them give up their MITB spots to her boys. They of course refused and challenged them to a fight instead.

Segment 2: The first match of the night was then that six-man tag setup in the first segment. Aleister Black, Apollo Crews and Rey Mysterio taking on Andrade, Angel Garza and Austin Theory. After a fairly by-the-numbers WWE big tag match, Apollo Crews pinned Andrade with an incredible Pop-Up Sit-Out Powerbomb.

Segment 3: Andrade and Apollo Crews argue backstage and they agree to a US title match later on tonight. We were intended to get a triple threat match between Nia Jax, Asuka and Shayna Baszler but before the bell a brawl broke out. Nia Jax got the better of both of them and stood tall in the ring. Bobby Lashley convinces Lana to stay backstage, saying she’s so pretty that she’s a distraction to him.

Segment 4: Bobby Lashley quickly squashed Denzel Dejournette. Liv Morgan took on and defeated her rival Ruby Riott once again.

Segment 5: Nia Jax says nobody can stop her. The Viking Raiders note that the Street Profits have lost everytime they’ve faced off with them. Jinder Mahal makes his return from injury after several months on the shelf and makes quick work of Akira Tozawa.

Segment 6: In a WWE United States Championship match, Apollo Crews challenged Andrade. Crews injured his leg early in the match and fought through it for quite a while but after failing to land on his feet off of a missed Frog Splash, the referee called for the bell and thus Andrade retained.

Segment 7: Ricochet and Cedric Alexander defeat Ever-Rise, the team of Matt Martel and Chase Parker. MVP introduces Branden Vink and Shane Thorne as his newest clients and they want a rematch with Ricochet and Cedric Alexander next week.

Segment 8: In the final segment, Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre had a contract signing for their WWE Championship match at Money In The Bank. Seth as always claimed to be doing what was best for Drew and everyone else. McIntyre slams Seth’s face into the table. Murphy jumps Drew from behind to try and save Seth but McIntyre fights back, Claymore Kick lays out Murphy and Rollins rushes from the ring.

I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.
