WWE Friday Night SmackDown is soon at hand. After weeks of taunting from afar, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman will be coming face-to-face here tonight. Here at the Overtimer, as always you can expect an in-depth coverage of the show. There is way more announced in advance for this show than usual so let’s get to it!
Bray Wyatt And Braun Strowman To Meet Face-To-Face Tonight
For the past several weeks, Bray Wyatt has been endlessly teasing and taunting Braun Strowman and reminding him of their past. Braun of course was brought into the WWE main roster by way of joining the Wyatt Family, the faction Bray used to lead once upon a time. In some ways, it feels strange to think that was only a few years ago, yet in other ways it’s bizarre to think it’s been that long. The Monster Among Men found that nickname back then and still uses it today. In fact his Twitter bio still reads “The New Face of Destruction” – which cites itself back to when Bray was giving everyone in his group a nickname related to them being the new face of something terrible.
Bray’s shown him plenty of stills and video clips, he’s sent him one of his old trademark black sheep masks, he’s played the old “Oh where oh where has my monster gone?” song. Aside from that though, the story has been surprisingly basic thus far. Bray continually brings up the fact that he’s the one who introduced Strowman to the world and Braun just repeatedly says he doesn’t want to deal with Bray’s puppets or talk about his past. That’s where it started and it hasn’t exactly advanced from there. It’s a bit of a shame considering we never heard any sort of explanation for the original Wyatt Family’s split, this would’ve been a good time to get some insight as to what Strowman was thinking during that period.
Perhaps we’ll still get that tonight. Finally the promo battles from afar are done as Bray Wyatt & Braun Strowman will be meeting tonight. Braun might also might meet the Fiend before the night is over as well.
