AEW Dark rolls on as we now have Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D stepping into the ring with Skyler Moore. Britt’s looking for some momentum heading into the fatal four way match with a shot at Nyla Rose’s AEW Women’s World Championship on the line.
Britt Baker vs. Skyler Moore
Lock- up but Britt immediately backs up and pretends she was hit in the nose, goes into the ropes to force her to back off. Skyler wants another lock-up but Britt gets her with a kick to the gut instead. Few shots to the face, hip to the ropes, Moore ducks and trips her up into a roll-up but Baker counters into a Crucifix for 2. Britt whips her to the ropes, Moore ducks a lariat but can’t avoid the Thrust Kick, landing hard! Baker seems pleased with herself after that one. Pulls her up by the hair and drops her with a Snap Suplex. Britt stops her into the ropes, then chokes her on the second rope. Yanks on the arms and then kicks her into the ropes! Britt slides to the outside. Grinds Moore against the post and drives her boot into the face. Rolls back in the ring, pulls her up, forearm, wrist lock and knee to the gut, headscissor takedown. Getting a good squeeze in on the headscissor.
Half nelson and chinlock cinched in. Skyler fights her way up, stomp to the foot. Sunset flip but Britt rolls her through, wants a suplex but Moore with an inside cradle gets 2! Britt with a kick to the gut, charging dropkick to the side of the face! Spinning Fisherman’s Neckbreaker follows. Britt then demands the referee give her a rubber glove. She grabs Moore’s wrist as she reaches up, stomps her in the face and then spins her onto the mat with the arms hooked. Britt shows us her gloved hand and gleefully completes the Lockjaw hold for the submission.
Winner: Britt Baker
Cute finish there and a pretty solid match in general. It’s really nice seeing Britt Baker dive just a little bit deeper and deeper into her character every time we see here. She’s really a monumental jerk, if she were a heel from the beginning she might’ve been the original AEW Women’s World Champion in all honesty. She’ll get there though, just a matter of when.
