AEW Dark continues. Brandon Cutler has just lost a match to Michael Nakazawa and to add insult to injury, out comes his rival Peter Avalon. And just to add insult to injury, out comes Peter Avalon wish a shush. Just like on BTE he yells “BRANDOOON!” Says that again, he loses. Tells Brandon he sucks. Enters the ring mocking him for being 0-13. Calls him the worst wrestler in AEW. Cutler steals the mic from him and says Avalon might be the Librarian but he can read him like a book. He’s afraid that Cutler will get a win before he does. He’s afraid that he’ll leave Avalon in the dust and he’ll be the worst wrestler in AEW! Peter says his next match is up now so watch him get this W. actually on commentary for this one, coming to the booth for this match between Peter Avalon and Jungleboy.
Peter Avalon vs. Jungleboy
Jungle rolls across the ring and makes Avalon skitter away. Lock-up, Avalon with a wristlock. Jungle rolls through, reverses. Avalon has to do the same, hammerlock. Jungle kips up to reverse into an arm wringer, shoulder block. Avalon spins through, punch to the face. Side headlock, Jungle shoots him off, Peter rolls over him, but a side headlock takedown from Jungle – Avalon with a headscissor. Jungle handstands out of it, flips to his feet! Waistlock takedown, cartwheel, into a step-up headscissor takedown! Chops the chest, lucha libre triple springboard into an arm drag, big dropkick!
Avalon powders, Jungle hits the ropes for a dive but Peter steps away and Jungleboy has to back up. Avalon is talking trash, until he just up and bumps into Luchasaurus and falls directly to the floor. Avalon is suddenly surrounded by the members of Jurassic Express until Leva Bates gets involved and they all separate… until Avalon grabs Jungle and rams headfirst into the ringpost! He takes him into the ring, series of kneedrops, snap suplex for a nearfall!
Body shots in the corner, charges but Jungle side steps him, couple of roll-ups for 2 – Avalon with a spinning heel kick for a 2 count! Figure Four Headscissors! Jungle puts the feet on the ropes to break the hold. Peter stomps him into the corner, takes a moment to yell at Lucha, Jungle with a series of shots fighting his way up but Avalon stops this with a scoop slam! Goes up top, Jungleboy evades the Moonsault Press and he crashes and burns! Jungle with a series of elbow strikes, throws him to the corner for a charging uppercut, hits the ropes, big lariato! Avalon hits a pump kick, wants to suplex him out of the ring but Jungle floats over to the apron, shoulder thrust to the gut, crazy ass Springboard Spinning DDT for a nearfall! Grabs the legs, Avalon cradles him for a nearfall. Hoists him up, TKO! Hits the ropes, Sliding Flatliner! Stands him up, hits the ropes, leaps up for a Meteora to the back of the head for a clooose nearfall! Hot dayam.
Leva Bates gets up on the apron, Jungle and Avalon with an O’Connor Roll reversal, Jungle kicks out and nearly sends Avalon into Leva, she backs up and lands on Lucha’s shoulders! Marko up on the apron to give Leva a kiss! Avalon wants a sunset flip on Jungle but he rolls through and turns it into an SGS, basically an STF with an Indian Deathlock attached, it’s a lovely hold and Jungle gets the win!
Winner: Jungleboy
Jungleboy is crazy good and Avalon is extremely solid himself, fun stuff.
