Another episode of AEW Dynamite is on tap here this evening and boy is there a lot to talk about for this one. After their creepy and rather inappropriate actions last week involving Brandi Rhodes and a large snake, Lance Archer & Jake Roberts will be making another appearance tonight! You can expect the same coverage of this show as always, which means in-depth results and recaps, plus a preview of everything that’s on tap tonight. Like I said, lot to discuss so let’s get into it!
Lance Archer & Jake Roberts To Explain Their Actions Last Week
In recent months, Jake Roberts and Lance Archer have done everything they can to make an enemy out of Cody Rhodes. Before Archer had even debuted, Jake met with Cody face-to-face to warn him about what was coming. In the TNT title tournament, Archer drew Dustin Rhodes in the semi-finals and went out of his way to brutalize and bloody Cody’s older brother, forcing him to contemplate throwing in the towel before the option was ripped from him and having him watch as he finished him off.
But few things could possibly be more personal than what happened last week. Brandi Rhodes, in trying to stop Britt Baker from her shoe flinging ways, ended up getting knocked out by her after Archer ran through QT Marshall in his latest outing. What happened next was quite a throwback, to say the absolute least. Brandi was dragged into the ring by Archer, where Jake Roberts revealed an enormous snake and laid it atop her body. He made damn sure it went to some very private places as well! It was roughly as lewd and disrespectful as could be and harrowing to say the least.
It’s of course pretty clear that it’s all in the name of getting to Cody but all the same tonight they’re set to explain why they did what they did last week. It will doubtlessly be a dark and broody promo and likely veering even more on the creepy side than usual. We are of course just ten days away from Double or Nothing where Lance Archer and Cody will be squaring off in the tournament finals to crown the inaugural TNT Champion. Something tells me we’ll end up denied the confrontation with Cody this week as he might be off tending to Brandi now or something akin to that, they might wanna save that for the go-home show. But the result here should be interesting all the same.
