WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. We see a replay of the Miz and John Morrison’s pranks on Braun Strowman. We then hear Braun talk about how he can replace his windshields but there won’t be any way of fixing what he does to Miz and Morrison at Backlash. As for tonight, we’ve been here before and he’s not in the mood for any funny business. If Otis or Tucker try anything as they team with him, he’s shown in the past he has no trouble tearing apart Heavy Machinery. But that’s still a little bit later. Now we have ourselves a championship celebration with tons of balloons being hung around the ringposts as Sasha Banks and Bayley want to celebrate their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship title victory.
They come over to the announce booth and make Michael Cole and Corey Graves participate in a selfie with them. They enter the ring and pose with their titles and then the boos come up as soon as the music fades away. Bayley says excuse them, they have a celebration and they have something to say. It’s their party and everyone else is lucky to have even been invited. “You Suck” chant, Bayley says she obviously doesn’t suck. She’s at the top of her game and everyone says it’s lonely at the top. Says that she understands why they say that because when you’re the most dominant SmackDown Women’s Champion of all time, it can be lonely. But it’s not for her because she has the Boss, the Standard, the Blueprint Sasha Banks!
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross Drive Off Bayley & Sasha Banks | WWE SmackDown Results (6/12/2020)
Sasha tells her that together, they are unstoppable. Bayley wrote a poem to express exactly how she feels about Sasha. But before she can read it, Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross interrupt the celebration. Alexa says she’s totally fine with them celebrating the victory but when they start reciting poetry to each other, they have to draw the line. Bayley is furious but Nikki says it’s okay, the two of them love a good party. An argument without mics breaks out but then we see the IIconics on the titantron telling them this Sunday at Backlash, their time as champs ends. Says they’ve both beaten Nikki and Alexa recently and they were the ones who ended Sasha and Bayley’s first tag title reign and they’re the ones who left them laying on Raw. As they finish their statement, Alexa and Nikki attack the champs from behind and drive them out of the ring.
The IIconics had a monitor with the Raw Logo behind them just to let you know they’re from Raw, and in some ways actually implies they were cutting that promo from Raw as if it were a physical place one could be, like they have actual different sets.
