WWE SmackDown continues. Sitdown interview with Jeff Hardy now. He says the past few weeks have been a rollercoaster physically and emotionally. He came back from injury a few months ago, he’s 42 years old and trying to turn his life around. His life has been amazing but the bad times can haunt him if he lets them. And just when it feels like he’s turned things around, it’s like he extinguishes one fire and then turns around to see another one. The struggle is real. Renee asks about what happened this Sunday at Backlash and how he’s been dealing with the loss. Jeff says he’s lost a lot of matches and will lose many more but Sheamus is a constant reminder of what he doesn’t like about himself.
It’s created this negative thinking where he feels like beating the holy hell out of him and shutting him up would prove that he’s turning it all around, but in losing, it makes him wonder if he’s good enough anymore. If he’s a bad performer, a bad husband, all the dark stuff comes back up. But if he’s learned one thing in this life it’s that he has to catch himself before that line of thinking gets out of control. Just because he calls him a spineless junkie and just because he might sometimes believe it, that doesn’t make it true. Says he’s been an adrenaline junkie since he was a child, and he is an alcohaulic. But Sheamus doesn’t have a problem with any of that, he’s simply jealous. Calls himself a Humanomaly and he will get through this.
Backstage, Shorty G is reminded by an interviewer that he is smol, being told that he’s several inches shorter than Mojo Rawley and is outweighed by about sixty pounds. So she asks how this size disadvantage will effect him. Shorty says that he’s well aware of the difference but at the end of the day size doesn’t matter and it certainly doesn’t matter if you’re best friends with Gronk. As he says this, Mojo Rawley appears behind him and is trying to make a mockery of him, highlighting his size and maybe mocking sad faces as Shorty goes on about how tall folks don’t know what it’s like to have eyes in the back of their head. Shorty proceeds to turn and lay him out with a punch before going out to make his entrance and Rawley is furious at this.
