WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. Otis and Mandy backstage find King Corbin’s throne, with his crown and robe on it. Mandy advises him to put it on and he does so, happily posing saying “Hail to the king”. Corbin comes up and finds it, yelling about someone stealing his crown. He grabs a stagehand, pulls them over to the chair, points at it and asks if he sees his crown. The stagehand explains Otis stole it and Corbin storms off. We hear that the two of them will face off next. Otis emerges with the crown on his head and he looks absolutely hilarious. Cole is talking up the good times of Otis so much that it couldn’t be more clear it’s gonna come crashing down soon.
King Corbin vs. Otis
Otis batters Corbin around the ring in spite of how angry the King was coming in. Corbin with a shot to the gut, throws him into the corner, but Otis evades a charge, clotheslines him to the outside! Corbin rushes back in, but Otis ducks his clothesline and then clotheslines him to the outside on the other side of the ring! He pursues him out there but Corbin drives him into the apron, then posts him! Back into the ring, Otis with a whip, Corbin tries his Ring Around The Ringpost, Otis ducks the shot but when he tries to counter, Corbin gets him with a Spinebuster for a 2 count!
Corbin with a forearm, takes him to the corner, series of body shots. Otis has a pretty easy target down there. Haymaker for a nearfall. Pulls him to his feet, kidney shots, hooks an arm and has the fishhooks, seems to be a new popular transition hold in WWE here. Corbin with a Piggyback Sleeper. Otis drives him into the corner to break, Corbin with the boots up on a charge, over and over. But now he keeps kicking the gut and Otis is Otis’ing up! Ducks a shot, back elbows ensue, hoists him up for a big Fallaway Slam style throw! And another! Charging avalanche, and now he’s teasing the Caterpillar! But Corbin rolls to the floor to escape this. Corbin demands his crown and is handed it. Otis goes out there to fight him but Corbin gets him a throat thrust and then drives a steel chair repeatedly into Otis’ gut! That’s the DQ.
Winner: Otis (By DQ)
But the chairs actually have little effect, aside from driving Otis into the ring. Otis ducks a shot, crushes him again and there’s the Caterpillar! Otis stands tall!
