AEW Dark continues. Big Game Leroy and EJ Lewis are making their AEW debuts tonight, although I believe they’ve been appearing on recent BTE skits focused on Private Party? Not totally sure but I think so. Leroy comes out with his Nintendo Switch and is refusing to turn his attention away from whatever he’s pretending to play. They have a big test against Proud-N-Powerful, Santana and Ortiz of the Inner Circle!
Proud-N-Powerful vs. Big Game Leroy & EJ Lewis
Santana starts with Leroy. He axe kicks the Switch out of his hand and nails him with a push kick! He then kicks the Switch out of the ring! Lewis has to tag in, Santana quickly takes him into the corner and stomps him into the buckles. Big knife edge chop, biel throw! Grinds the boot against his face, Ortiz tags in, they take him down, Ortiz with a clothesline and Santana with a senton! Ortiz with a couple of scoop slams. Pulls him up, back suplex! Whips him into the ropes, clothesline flips Lewis inside out! Ortiz takes a moment to ensure his bandana stays in place. Takes him up in the Gory Special, Santana tags in as he keeps him in that hold, vicious overhand chops! Lewis is helpless! Finally Ortiz takes him to the mat, Santana stomps on his hand and grinds his fingers into the mat – and then WRECKS him with a brutal kick to the head! Yells “It’s supposed to hurt!” as he pulls him up, Lewis wants to fight back but Santana stops that with a swift uppercut!
Tag to Ortiz, they go for a double Back Suplex but Lewis flips out of it… ducks a shot, hits Santana, thrust kicks to both men! Hits the ropes, but Santana with a thrust kick of his own! Whips him to Ortiz who nails him with a Michinoku Driver, Santana with a Lionsault! They cover, Leroy slides into the ring… they just stand and stare him down menacingly before he can get there. They allow Lewis to make the tag. Leroy walks in slow… ducks several shots, goes over to Ortiz but he scares him off with a holler. Santana drives him into the P-N-P corner, tag to Ortiz, who nails him with a Liger Bomb! Reverse Bomb sends him facefirst into the buckle! Ortiz with a major Cannonball! The Street Sweeper follows and that’s that.
Winners: Proud-N-Powerful
Poor Leroy lost his switch and didn’t even get a single bit of offense in. Although the close-up of the Switch afterwards, it seems like it’s probably fine, Nintendo makes some strong stuff.
