Cameron Grimes has not made many friends in NXT during his tenure, but a win over Finn Balor (with a lot of help from Damien Priest) has him flying high towards the top. The technical savage is one of the best in the world despite his arrogance, and he looks to get more wins as he takes on the master of Aussie Strong Style, Bronson Reed. Who would walk away with a win?
Cameron Grimes & Bronson Reed Give Their All In A Short Time
It would be power and size vs. speed and ring savvy, but Grimes would make an early error as he would try to take him down by the legs. This would be followed up by another mistake of throwing hands with Reed. Some big haymakers would be followed by a Mantattan Drop. A tribute to Dusty Rhodes with the Bionic Elbow would come next, followed by a military press into a huge senton. Reed was just having his way with Grimes, but a kick to the face would give Grimes some time. He’d hit the ropes for a crossbody but be caught midair. Slipping out Grimes would hit a jumping elbow, but an attempt at roll-up would be shoved off and Reed ran through him. Grimes would find refuge in the corner, only to get a running hip strike to the face. Reed would go up top for a splash, but Grimes would dodge and nail the Cave In for the win. Just goes to show that if you have a good finisher, the rest of the match might not matter.
Just About The Best Two Minute Match You Can Find
The amount of action these two packed into a mere two minutes was insane. It showed exactly how good both men are between those ropes, but Grimes would leave with the win. It’s amazing that Bronson Reed does not have a bigger role in WWE, as he should be joining Shane Thorne and Brendan Vink to make that tag team a hard to predict trio.
This match will only help to boost the stock of Grimes going forward, a man who will continue to impress in every match until he wins gold in NXT. The NXT North American Championship could very well be his by the end of 2020.
Karrion Kross Sends A Quick Message
After the dust settled, Karrion Kross would make his way to the ring to send a message to Ciampa this weekend. Grimes would slip away, but Reed would eat a Doomsday Saito before staring down the camera and giving Ciampa one final message.
