This week on Friday Night Smackdown, we will see the feud between Jeff Hardy & Sheamus continue. They are set to meet at Backlash in their second singles match. Things ramped up hugely when Sheamus would frame Jeff Hardy for running down Elias in the parking lot of the WWE Performance Center. This was after Sheamus would beat down Hardy, douse him in alcohol and send him into the bushes to be found by the police when they got to the scene. This will continue to grow on this weeks episode of Smackdown, according to leaked spoilers.
Jeff Hardy Will Throw Piss At Sheamus
You read that sub-heading correctly. According to the reported spoilers, we will see Jeff Hardy be forced to take a piss test, to test to ensure there are no foreign substances in his body. Sheamus doesn’t want to wrestle some junkie at Backlash, and would do the test himself afterwards. Given they are pulling from his real life struggles with substance abuse, he has grounds to get mad about this. However, he will do the deal… before throwing into the face of Sheamus.
If this was reported to happen in any other wrestling company, it would be hard to imagine this being true. However, this is WWE. They’re not particularly known for being high art. So on the same night that we will get a wrestling classic from AJ Styles & Daniel Bryan, Sheamus will get a free golden shower of sorts.
Just Ridiculous Enough To Work
This makes just enough sense to work. It plays off the drunk driving angle they used a few weeks ago, and gives Sheamus more reason to want to brutalize Hardy this Sunday at Backlash. I mean, if someone throw a bottle of piss at you, you’d want to fight them too.
It is the kind of angle that will get people talking on social media, due to the absurdity of the situation alone. If Priscilla Kelly’s tampon spot on the indies got people talking about her, WWE doing something about as gross should have a similar effect.
