The Dark Order are finally starting to come for the AEW Tag Team Champions. This week on Dynamite, Hangman Page will be in singles action for the first time in a while, as he faces Five of The Dark Order, formerly Alan Angels. When you face any member of Dark Order, you can be assured the rest will not be far behind. With Young Bucks beat up after their own match, and only Kenny Omega to back him up, could Page suffer a loss?
Hangman Page Came Ready To Win
Page & Five would have a brief standoff, and a quick kick would force Page to dodge. However, Page would throw some heavy strikes and have Five dazed early on, a chop dropping him already. After a show of agility from both men, Five would be run through with a big boot.
A quick cover after a snap suplex would get a near fall, and Fives speed would let him get a kick in. Another big boot would send him off the apron into the barricade. Now, Page would just throw Five around, with little regard for the well being of his opponent.
At this time, the rest of Dark Order would come to watch the match from the ramp as we went into a commercial break.
Five Takes Advantage
With the motivation of his faction nearby, Five would find himself back in this match, bringing it to Page. Under the name Alan Angels, he had a strong showing against Omega months ago, and now would do the same to Page. It wouldn’t last forever though, and he’d have use every second on top effectively. He’d go for a double stomp off the top, and miss, only too be flapjacked onto the ring.
Page would lift him up and throw him back into a pinning perdiciment, then throw him onto the apron. Five would hit a shoulder through the ropes, and come in with a dropkick. However, Page would light him up with some heavy chops, and while Five hit more strikes, a big clothelines would turn Five inside out. A fallaway slam followed by a rolling elbow would get a near fall.
Last Call For This Match
Looking to end this one, Hangman would send Five off the ropes, and hit a pop up powerbomb. This one was over, but Five really impressed. Now that the match is over though, Dark Order would move in on the ring and Page. It would now be seven on one. Brodie Lee would take the microphone.
He’d praise Hangman Page, and say how impressed he is with him. But his lack of allies and friends when he’s in danger is not impressive. He’d be offered a role within Dark Order, and he wouldn’t be left alone, like Page so often is.
Page wouldn’t take this offer, as he’s not ready to join a cult right now. You don’t say the c-word around Brodie, and he’d send his men after Page. Five men would march on the ring, and FTR would come to make the save. Interesting they come before Kenny Omega.
