While they might not have the best win loss record in AEW, TH2 are one of the more unique teams in the company. The team of Angelico & Jack Evans bring an insane level of athletic ability to the table, with Evans being one of the most innovative high flyers in the history of the sport. He’s at his best when he is able to truly be himself, and that is one of the reasons he will be sticking with his company as long as possible.
Jack Evans Is Going Nowhere
Responding to a fan on Twitter who felt TH2 are underused in AEW, and would be better off in Impact Wrestling, Evans would have the following to say.
“I’m not trying to diss any other promotion, but AEW let me do a 4 minute monologue using only First Person Shooter references and not to kiss ass but I am going to, Tony Khan has continued to pay me despite the fact I haven’t worked a 1/4 of the year. I’m not going anywhere”
This mentioned promo comes from Episode #209 of Being The Elite, where Evans would reference Doom, Duke Nukem, Heretic, Medal Of Honour, and Call Of Duty among others in a wild speech. We likely wouldn’t see him given this freedom with a live microphone on Dynamite just yet, but if that day comes, everyone will be picking up their jaw after Evans drops a fire promo on them. The best line in this one was “You don’t put our faces in the stone of wrestling Mount Rushmore, you put our asses on the thrones of wrestling Mount Olympus.”
This is just one of many promos you’ll find from Evans in Being The Elite, but every single one is fantastic.
TH2 might have not had the best win-loss record before the pandemic, but they are going to come back with a vengeance. They will be doing everything they can to get a title shot, and maybe even truly ascend to the level they feel themselves worthy of.
