The WWE is ultra secretive when it comes to their shows in an effort to keep us guessing, but WWE Raw is a three hour show so there’s going to be more than four segments. With less than a week left before Extreme Rules, they’re going to need a final push for their matches for the upcoming pay-per-view.
Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler
One of those is the WWE World Championship Match between Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler. While this has the potential to be a great match given Ziggler’s stipulation. Of course, he won’t say what it is until the pay-per-view, but we’re betting it’s going to involve Ziggler’s tag team partner, Robert Roode.
This makes sense given McIntyre would normally make quick work of Ziggler, or at least let him get a few shots in before flipping up (his Hulking Up) and leveling Ziggler with a Claymore. With Roode and possibly another at his side, the odds are closer to even for him and it should provide and interesting and entertaining angle despite the fact it’s just a worm on a hook to get us to tune into the pay-per-view
Yep, we’re calling it what it is, but we’re still looking forward to it and the exchange/promos we’ll see tonight. Maybe McIntyre will even come out and face Orton over R-Truth. It’s probably not going to happen, but we can hope for the best.
Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and the Iiconics
Over the last few weeks, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott have become little more than jobbers, with Morgan las seen a couple of weeks back after losing to Natalya, and Ruby Riott losing the last two weeks to each member of the Iiconics (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce) due to the other’s interference.
This is another storyline that’s been teased and is starting to feel stretched thin, so we expect Riott and Morgan to reunite tonight to set up a match against the Iiconics art Extreme Rules. The best way we can figure on this happening is Kay and/or Royce start going after Morgan and Riott steps in to defend her. There’ll be some infighting, but the pair will realize they’re stronger together than apart and two thirds of the Riott Squad is back.
Of course, the most likely method going by recent WWE trends will have this scenario happen at or the night after Extreme Rules. So while fans are clamoring for Riott and Morgan to rejoin, we’ll probably have to wait another week or two to see the reunion happen.
If we’re lucky, it’ll happen tonight to hep drum up fan interest in Extreme Rules and give us a fun moment on WWE Raw, but we’re not holding our breath.
