CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with a throwback spoiler that’ll take us back to May 15, 1992.
Over the years, we’ve seen some interesting and devious plots, but few villains had the gift of pulling stuff and getting away with it like Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
In this case, Sheila is forced to come clean with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) about exchanging her baby with a dead one, and hence tricking Lauren into thinking hers was dead.
Of course, Sheila may not have done this on her own, since her mother, Molly Carter (Marilyn Alex), spilled the beans to Lauren.

Hot times
With everything out in the open, Sheila did what any responsible, respectable psychopath would do — she kidnapped Lauren and Molly and locked them in a farmhouse.
Yep, nothing like being someplace relatively isolated to work toward a resolution between parties.
As often happens in these shows, Lauren possibly goaded Sheila into a confrontation. Their struggle led to a kerosene lamp being knocked over and a fire to start.
Yep, gotta have something set the climax in motion, so a little fire works wonders.
Well, maybe not wonders.
In this case, all three women are trapped inside, but our heroes eventually find their way out to safety. Sheila, on the other hand, was believed to be killed in the fire.
She’d resurface years later, but this brief victory gave Lauren the chance she deserved to rejoice that everything worked out in her favor.
Coming to an end
While this episode and others we’ve seen are awesome and it’s fun to see some old favorites in action, it would’ve been nice if we could’ve gotten a full storyline at some point.
Even a couple of episodes to help us understand what happened previously and afterwards more than once.
While the continuity was severely lacking and confusing to those that haven’t seen these before, it looks like that’s in the past.
Reports indicate that new episodes of Y&R will be coming on Monday, August 10.
Yep, it looks like the theme weeks are history barring an unforeseen incident. Maybe if they do bring them back, we’ll get some continuity?
Still, it’s great to have new episodes coming, though CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers hope they do a better job of placement and editing than B&B has so far.
With any luck, they’ll be able to hit the ground running and keep things going.
